英国工程技术学会

　　英国工程技术学会（IET）系英国电气工程师学会（IEE）和英国企业工程师学会（IIE）于2006年初合并组建而成，现拥有15万多会员，遍布全球128个国家。IET涉及科技领域广泛，覆盖60个专业和多个新型交叉学科，其规模欧洲之最、全球第二的综合性专业科技学会。IET总部设在伦敦、并分别在新泽西、北京、香港、班哥路均设有办事处。

　　英国工程技术学会90年代初进入中国，成立IET北京中心，并于2005年6月在中国成立了北京代表处。目前，IET学会已在上海设立了上海分会，并计划2008年建立西北和东北分会，同时IET已陆续在国内数所高校建立了IET青年分会，并在校园内开展30余次科技讲座和互动专题座谈会以及大型学生课余校外活动。

The Institution of Engineering and Techonology

　　The Institution of Engineering and Technology was formed by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) on 2006 and now has more than 150,000 members within 128 countries worldwide. It is the largest professional engineering society in Europe and the second largest of its type in the world. Apart from the head-office in London, it has office in Beijing, New-jersey, Hong Kong and Bangalore.

　　IET established Chinese center on early of 90th and set up Beijing office on June of 2005. Currently, the institution established branches in Beijing and Shanghai and plan to set up North-west branch and North-east branch in 2008. With IET Younger Member Sections’ gradually framing, the institution has experienced of technical seminars and campus events.
