The Advanced Forum on Transportation of China, organized by Beijing Jiaotong University and co-sponsored by the IET was successfully held on 17th October 2009. This event has established itself as an excellent Chinese meeting for both transportation officials and scholars. Since originated in 2005, it has provided a platform for experts from government, research institutes, colleges and universities, etc. to exchange views and experiences about recent developments and future directions. The Forum has showcased discussions in enhancing integrated transportation theory and systematic transportation theory exploration, building integrated transportation system, advancing reform of the management system in transport field, improving integrated management system, optimizing general layout of transportation system, strengthening infrastructure of transportation junctions, coordinating the relationship between national energy strategy and transportation development strategy, highlighting the importance of environmental protection, prompting Eco-transportation, and setting up relevant guarantee system.

This years’ Forum sets its theme as “Building Integrated Transportation System under Economic Crisis”. Many experts have been invited to make presentations as follow:
